Kamal Haasan to play retired police cop in ‘Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu 2’

Not long ago, actor Kamal Haasan revealed that the plans for ‘Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu 2’ are underway. On September 2 at the ‘Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu’ audio launch the ‘Indian 2’ actor stated that he and director Gautham Vasudev Menon will be collaborating to work on the sequel of the 2006 blockbuster movie.

‘Vettaiyaadu Villaiyaadu’ starring Kamal Haasan and Jyothika revolved around the crime against women committed by two and Kamal played the lead role as DCP Raghavan. The film is one of the classics of cop drama. In a recent interview with a media house, writer Jeyamohan who worked with Gautham Menon for ‘Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu’ report revealed that the base story of ‘Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu 2’ has been reportedly finalised.

Speaking at the interview, Jeyamohan said that he has discussed a one-liner of the sequel of the cop drama with the director and is in a plan to develop it further. He reportedly added that keeping in mind the timeline of DCP Raghavan’s career in the film he will be retired now and the story will start with how he is once again called back to report for duty. He indirectly revealed that the film will have Kamal Haasan playing as a retired police officer who will step into duty again to work a case.
