Director Pa Ranjith’s latest film Natchathiram Nagargiradhu has been winning praise from many quarters for its bold and sensitive exploration of love and the politics behind it. Now, the film has got a cheerleader in Superstar Rajinikanth, who seems to have been mightily impressed by his Kaala director’s movie.
Sharing the news about Rajini’s praise, Pa Ranjith wrote on his Twitter page that he was touched by Superstar’s praise for his new movie and called it his “best work” yet. He wrote, “I am extremely touched by the appreciation from our #superstar Rajinikanth sir after watching #NatchathiramNagargiradhu “This is your best work in terms of direction, writing, casting the performers, art, cinematography, music, so far” are the exact words that he quoted. Thank you, sir, ?”
Ranjith and Rajini had worked together in two films Kabali and Kaala back to back. The filmmaker had received praise for bringing the actor the Superstar to the fore in these movies. Natchathiram Nagargiradhu is a contemporary love story set against a theatre background and stars Dushara Vijayan, Kalaiyarasan and Kalidas Jayaram in the lead roles.
