Johnson-McGoldrick, who previously authored the scripts for ‘ The Conjuring 2′ and’ The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It,’ will also write the script for ‘The Conjuring 4.’ In a recent interview, filmmaker James Wan suggested that the fourth film in ‘The Conjuring series, starring Ed and Lorraine Warren, could be the final one.
When asked if this implies the fourth film will conclude the franchise, which has generated over $2 billion at the global box office, James said, “We never know. You never know. We’ll see.” Other details about the film’s cast are yet to be published. Michael Chaves, who directed ‘The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It,’ is presently working on ‘The Nun 2,’ the long-awaited prequel to the movie. This is the second Nun film, with Taissa Farmiga reprising her role as Sister Irene. Previously, filmmaker James Wan hinted that both Farmiga sisters’ (Vera and Taissa Farmiga) characters would cross paths in the same realm.
