John Mulaney, a comedian, explores Los Angeles during a week when many comedians are in town, captured in six live shows. Hollywood Bowl on May 4, with episodes streaming live on Netflix from May 6 through May 10.
In a teaser for “Everybody’s in L.A.,” several Angelenos take turns helping to describe the show. “John Mulaney explores the city of Los Angeles with his comedian friends, featuring people equal to, but not necessarily, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock and David Letterman,” they say in a succession of clips shot around the city. “No one is confirmed yet, but a lot of people are in play. Everyone who passed did it in a nice, very funny way. It’s a celebration of L.A. We’ll have music. We’ll have one of those delivery robots, fingers crossed. We’ll have local L.A. county officials talking to the biggest names in comedy.”
Mulaney hosts “Everybody’s in L.A.” and serves as creator and executive producer through his Multiple Camera Productions banner. He co-showruns with Ashley Edens, who also executive produces. Dave Ferguson is the head writer.
